About the Vincennes University Foundation
The Vincennes University Foundation is an independent entity, which functions to obtain and administer resources in support of the dual mission of Vincennes University. The VU Foundation is guided by a board of directors of 35 persons. It is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) organization and contributions received are tax deductible, which means that contributions to the VU Foundation are eligible to be claimed by the donor as a Charitable Contribution Deduction. Indiana taxpayers may also claim the Tax Credit for contributions to Indiana higher education institutions on the Indiana income tax return.
The Vincennes University Foundation Mission is to support the higher education and community service missions of Vincennes University by seeking and receiving contributions from alumni and friends of the University, and administering these funds for the benefit of Vincennes University and its students.

Since June 1990, the total assets of the VU Foundation have grown from $3,040,790 to $58,403,820.
The VU Foundation awarded 92% of its directly controlled scholarships for the 11-12 academic year by giving $1,077,335 to incoming and returning VU students.
The VU Foundation maintains over $21,000,000 in endowment funds.
