Vincennes University Foundation Scholarships

The VU Foundation awarded a record $1,465,903 scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  These included awards to students from 8 states across the country and 3 international awards.  Currently the VU Foundation manages over 525 scholarship and department funds, with 247 new funds created in just the last 9 years.

The Foundation produces a list of available scholarships each academic year for VU students.  Click on the 'Unbelievable Scholarships' icon for a listing of scholarships.  The 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 Scholarship Applications are available for download below.  If you're ready select the online application for the appropriate academic year and submit it now.  Please be sure to fill out all pages before submitting online.

Though you may receive multiple awards, you can only receive one academic scholarship. Filing of the FAFSA is required for all academic scholarships. We highly recommend that every family submit a FAFSA each year, even if you do not feel you will qualify for federal or state grant aid.

Dorothy M. Walters Scholarship

The application time frame for this scholarship will restart December 2016.

Open to all high school seniors preparing for a career in education
Walters Scholars in Education are outstanding students and citizens who are dedicated to a career in education. As Walters Scholars the students receive the Dorothy M. Walters Scholarship. The scholarship will provide help with tuition, fees, room, board and books for two years at Vincennes University. Upon successful completion of these two years, the student will receive a scholarship for two additional years at Vincennes University or another baccalaureate college or university of his/her choice. The amount of this scholarship may not exceed $8,000 per year and will supplement other financial aid that the recipient may receive from other sources.
